Set within the beautiful
countryside in the Heart of Mabie
Forest a few miles outside of
Dumfries, is the stunning Mabie
House Hotel.
The concept Behind the Shoot
For this styled shoot, I knew I wanted to bring the tradition of Mabie House together with a modern twist, and how better to do this? With disco balls and heart shaped glasses and a vintage cake of course. Anyone who knows me will know I’m obsessed with anything shiny and fun.

The Team Behind the Beauty
On Hair was Bridal Hair by Morgan, who has years of wedding hair experience working in and near to Gretna Green, one of the busiest wedding locations in the UK. Makeup was by Hannah Bailey, who created a signature bold lip look paired with a neutral eye look to complete the modern edgy look.

The Venue Setting
The Hotel offers weddings in the 17th Century House or the purposely built Garden Pavilion, you can have a small elopement in the Hotel itself or have a large wedding in the Pavilion. We managed to get some outdoor photos, before heading to the Pavilion. And we used the Honeymoon Suite which has beautiful views over the well kept gardens.

This fun styled shoot at Mabie House showcases how modern and fun a wedding in Dumfries and Galloway can be, bringing together a talented team of local creatives to inspire couples planning their own special day.
